Vitamin D

This is one that most people are deficient in simply because of their modern lifestyle.  Vitamin D is known as the “sunshine vitamin” and created by specific enzymes in your skin when they are exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D deficiency can cause low testosterone in men, which means low sex drive. So if you tend to feel more frisky during the summer than the winter, there’s a very good reason for it – increased vitamin D causes your hormones, and your libido, to peak during summer months.

You can recreate this peak and keep it going all year long simply by supplementing daily with high dose vitamin D.

Aside from boosting testosterone, which is wonderful in and of itself, the other benefits from this vitman are:

Increases bone strength by aiding in calcification of the skeleton.

Helps create strong teeth impervious to cavities.

Helps the cardiovascular system.  There is a direct link between Vit. D levels and reduced risk of coronary issues.

Helps your waistline.  Higher levels of Vitamin D were synonymous with faster weight loss, particularly around the stomach.  If you’re going for that six pack, you want to make sure you’re levels are topped off.

Despite what people think about sun exposure, high levels of vit. D were found to reduce cancer risks by up to 50% or more.  And even though you can get what you need during the summer months with a little exposure, you can never over dose on this vitamin making supplementation safe all year around

I still supplement in the summer despite getting alot of sun and I’ve found that by using this in the summer time in addition to natural sunlight, I develop a very deep and even tan.

I’ve found the currenlty recommended amounts of Vit D to be riduculously under stated at only 400 iu, daily.  This is not enough seeing as only 20 minutes of sun exposure during summer months can create 20,000 iu alone.

I supplement with 10,000 iu daily, sometimes taking 20,000 or 30,000 a day.
